Windows 7 Action Center displays all types of important alerts which require user action; these could indicate software problems or maintenance and they can also indicate certain types of hardware issues such has incompatible drivers or missing drivers.

One can also navigate to Action Center via Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center. You can use Action Center to connect to other important troubleshooting tools like Control panel troubleshooters and Reliability Monitor.
